This isn't your typical staid documentary.
This is a no-holds-barred rock'n'roll spectacle that is totally hillarious and PURE FUN!

IN YOUR FACE is possessed with the same frenetic energy as the golden age of rock that it remembers. In 90 minutes of back-to-back anecdotes of Neil’s irreverent attitude and quirky antics, the viewer is taken on a wild ride into world of ‘Zloz’ that won’t quickly be forgotten.
IN YOUR FACE - THE NEIL ZLOZOWER STORY
Review: 21/01/2019 | Author: Daniel Howard
I had the honor of attending the premiere for this film at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in Los Angeles at the famous Chinese Theater. I had been seeing film after film at this festival. Once I found out about this movie and who was in it, it immediately captured my attention.
I had no idea who Neil was before this doc. Not really. I saw him in the theater lobby beforehand, but I didn't think anything of him, not knowing that he was the subject of the film.
Next thing I knew, I was surrounded by some of the greatest musicians in Rock: Chad Smith, Steve Vai, Eric Singer, etc. All were there for the premiere. At this point, my curiosity piqued. Who is this guy? All these incredible rock Gods are here for Neil's movie? Hot dang, lets start this thing.
As the movie screened, I got the full insight as to who exactly Neil is. He has retained his childlike self and became a successful photographer and businessman in the process.
When the interviews with tons of the greatest rock musicians began, I immediately understood who Neil was and how he touched so many people in his life. Neil Zlozower is a treasure and this film is a gem for music fans and everyone else.
Beate and Declan "Coco" Maynes have made something truly special and heartfelt and hilarious by bringing Neil's story to the world and it has more heart than most docs I've seen before.
Do yourself favor and see this movie!

In an ideal world, Neil Zlozower’s name should be familiar to any self-respecting rock fan. A priori, the photographer’s condition is to put forward the subject of the photograph and not its creator, so, for the masses of fans the name is too little known and the figure even less. However… when I first heard about him, his reputation was such that for being a bona fide rock star one had to have the validation of having being photographed by Neil

There are two major successes the documentary pulls off to make this more than just a biographic fluff piece.
The first is making it suitably cinematic. In Your Face doesn’t feel like a small screen documentary overblown onto a cinema screen.
METAL SLUDGE REVIEW
It’s an aptly titled documentary and, yes, for those who know the Los Angeles native, “IN YOUR FACE” is not without Zloz blurting fuck and goddamn in a fair amount of scenes.
“It’s a million percent of a hundred percent me,” Zlozower said of the film.
